PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT – Lac La Ronge

A presumptive case of coronavirus (COVID-19) has been identified in Lac La Ronge community in an individual in their sixties. The individual was tested at the La Ronge Health Center on May 13, 2020 after developing symptoms.
Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services, Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority and Saskatchewan
Health Authority public health officials confirm that contact tracing investigation is underway.
Customers who shopped or bought gas at the following locations
and date are advised to SELF-MONITOR daily for symptoms of COVID-19.
Fire Creek Gas Station in Saskatoon – May 4
Co-Op Gas Bar, La Ronge – May 4 -11
Robertson Store, La Ronge – May 11
Keethanow Supermarket, La Ronge – May 5-8
Keethanow Gas Bar, La Ronge – May 4
Craving Restaurant La Ronge – May 1-9.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include:
Fever
Headache
Chills
Cough
Shortness of breath
Sore throat
Runny nose
Diminished sense of smell or taste.
They should self-isolate IMMEDIATELY and call HealthLine 811 or their community health centre for evaluation and advice if they develop any of those symptoms. Self-isolation is an important way of preventing COVID-19 from spreading in Saskatchewan.
