Re: Update on LLRIB Treaty 6 Agricultural Benefits (Cows and Plows) Claim
This is an update with respect to the Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s (“LLRIB”) claim for Agricultural Benefits (also known as ‘Cows and Plows’) pursuant to Treaty 6.
The Settlement Planning Committee and Council are in the final stages of finalizing the Settlement Financial Plan and the Settlement Agreement. Once these are approved by Chief and Council, there will be a Ratification Vote to approve or reject the settlement. A formal notice of the date and time of the Ratification Vote, along with date and times of information meetings, will be provided as soon as the dates are confirmed. Voting will take place both online, and at selected in-person polling stations.
