(MAY 9TH TO MAY 15TH)
La Ronge, May 10, 2022: On behalf of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band, I would like to express my gratitude to Band’s nurses, clinicians and frontline healthcare workers for selflessly serving around the clock.
Many of you have risked your own health, faced personal tragedies in the thick of the COVID-19 pandemic; your courage, sacrifice and commitment remained unwavering as you went about taking care of the Band and community members.
Thank you for being brave and helping each one of us during these unprecedented times.
Thank you for the relentless work you put in and for taking the centerstage in alleviating suffering. Wave after wave unleashed COVID variants, overwhelmed the healthcare machinery, but you went on caring for the Band and community members, often stretching your personal physical and mental capabilities beyond limits.
Our nurses and frontline healthcare workers are our Heroes. We wouldn’t have been able to get through the times without your dedication and spirit.
Thank you so much for your unflagging compassionate care.
Chief Tammy Cook-Searson,
