RE: COVID-19 PANDEMIC EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE
COVID-19 Emergency Assistance will be provided for Lac La Ronge Indian Band (LLRIB) members. The support for band members who reside Off-reserve and those On-reserve for La Ronge 156, 156B and Sucker River, will be administered out of the Central Office in La Ronge. All other band offices will administer their assistance to their On-reserve members accordingly.
This will be a one-time assistance for LLRIB members/families. The assistance will be in the form of a Purchase Order (PO) for groceries and cleaning supplies. Where we cannot send a PO, we will issue cheques particularly for those members who live out-of-province or in such situations where LLRIB is unable to issue one to a vendor. The amount of the purchase order will be based on the following:
- Members ages 18 years and older will be eligible for up to $150.00.
- Members under 18 years of age will be eligible for up to $100.00.
- Families will receive the above rates to a maximum of $500.00 per family.
Please phone 1-800-567-7736 or 306-425-2183 to request this assistance. The phone applications will be open on Tuesday, April 7th at 10:00 a.m. and remain open for the rest of the week.
*NOTE: The only exception to the above will be for the members who reside in the Stanley Mission Hamlet, those members will receive their emergency assistance from the Stanley Mission Band Office.
The Purchase Orders (PO’s) for Off-Reserve will be issued during the week starting April 14th, 2020.
The Purchase Orders (PO’s) for the on-reserve will be issued during the week starting April 27, 2020.
For the other On-reserve members, the Emergency Assistance may vary by community. Please contact the band office in your community for further information.
