Evacuees that are staying in Regina at the Avana Centre.
Just wanna start off by mentioning that we are thinking of you all and understand the feeling you are all feeling during this difficult time, our working group is trying our best to accommodate those that had left I the bus’s last night.
The Avana Centre is the place where our Stanley Mission Group is accommodated to receive help from Red Cross.
Once you register upon arrival you will be placed in congregated accommodations, Red Cross is continually checking hotels to see what is becoming available and will slowly transition our members to the hotels, but this takes take and could be a couple to a few days. remember we have thousands of other people that are dealing with the same situation being displaced from their communities as well.
For those staying in different areas of the province and with friends or relatives or staying in congregated accommodations by other nations we will all try work together to get everyone locations and different services they provide.
If you have any information for people in different areas that could use some assistance or help be sure to share where they can get some help to get by for the time being, lets continue helping each other out during this tough time our northern communities are experiencing at the moment.
