ONLINE JOB READINESS PROGRAM

Program Overview: This Group Employment Skills Program is designed for people with disabilities who are experiencing barriers to employment. The program utilizes the career development industry’s best practices to help you find employment based on you values, beliefs, interests, abilities and skills. This program is brought in partnership with GTF and the Neil Squire Society. The program will provide instruction to:
• Identify your skills, values and interests
• Boost self-confidence and further develop skills and abilities
• Learn computer basics and assistive technology
• Explore career opportunities, improve your job interview skills and create a resume.
• Enhance your employability
Entrance Requirements: must be at least18years old, able to read and write and be able to self-declare a disability – for example: Physical disabilities, Learning disabilities, Anxiety, Depression and/or other mental health related issues All participants must have the goal of obtaining full-time or part-time employment or would like to further your education once the program is over.
Funding: Participants in the program do not pay tuition fees. Training allowance is available through the Provincial Training Allowance (PTA). Applications will be completed during the first day/week of class.
