RE: Agricultural Benefits Settlement (Cows and Ploughs)
The Settlement Agreement has now been sent to the Minister for signing. Once the Minister signs the Settlement Agreement the funds must be sent to LLRIB within 45 days. We do not know when the Minister will sign but we expect that it will occur within the next few weeks. We will provide you with further updates when we receive more information.
IMPORTANT – PAYMENT:
To receive your PCD payment, LLRIB Members must complete the PCD Payment – Agricultural Benefits Settlement Application. Previous banking information (EFT) provided to LLRIB cannot be used for the agricultural benefits PCD payment.
The PCD Payment – Agricultural Benefits Settlement Application is available on LLRIB’s website and must be sent to the Agricultural Benefits Coordinator Florence Veteri ([email protected].). The form will also be available at all LLRIB band offices, and the receptionist will forward the Application to the Agricultural Benefits Coordinator.
PCD ADVANCE:
If the settlement funds are received by December 9th LLRIB intends to distribute the full PCD during the week of December 12th to 16th.
If LLRIB does not receive the settlement funds by December 9th, LLRIB will take out a loan to make a $10,000 advance to all Members who apply. LLRIB plans to distribute the $10,000 advance during the week of December 12th to 16th, 2024.
We encourage all members to open bank accounts for direct deposit of their PCD payment.
