Lac La Ronge Indian Band Public Works & Housing Department is now accepting applications for the following position:

WATER & SEWER OPERATOR TRAINEE

SUCKER RIVER

The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:

• Train on the job in all areas of water & sewer operation
• Complete and maintain plant logs and reports
• Perform routine water sampling protocols
• Provide appropriate paperwork, reports, documentation, when required
• Adhere to all safety and health regulations
• Maintain positive public relations on behalf of the department
• Perform other work-related duties as requested by a supervisor

The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Must have a minimum Grade 12 diploma, Adult 12 or GED 12
• Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license
• WHMIS, First Aid & CPR certification is an asset
• Must be self-directed, motivated and willing to learn new skills
• Must be willing to take direction from a supervisor
• Must be willing to work independently on various job sites

Position:                       Permanent full time starting as soon as possible.

Salary:                          In accordance with applicable salary grid.
