The Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s Woodland Wellness Centre is inviting applications for the following Permanent Full-Time position based out of the Treatment Department in La Ronge, SK:
Treatment Supervisor
The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
- Assist the Treatment Department in the daily management of the Treatment Healing Sessions and Land-based Activities/Events.
- Coordinate with WWC staff to ensure participant-focused assessments and interventions. Collaborate in the development and implementation of work plans, contributing to the continuous improvement and evaluation of treatment programs;
- Assist in monitoring and guiding therapeutic decision-making processes and interventions, ensuring they adhere to WWC protocols.
- Participate in development of individualized treatment plans for the WWC participants.
- Facilitate or assist in the facilitation of group sessions, therapeutic interventions, and adjustment of treatment plans as needed.
- Provide support in the orientation and ongoing training of Treatment staff.
- Assist in the monitoring of staff performance, including conducting performance appraisals and supporting continuing education plans.
- Providing coaching, feedback, development supports, etc.;
- Support the Treatment department in addressing staff-related issues and implementing disciplinary actions as required.
- Assist in the development and implementation of work plans for the Treatment area, ensuring alignment with WWC strategic goals.
- Participate in the collection and analysis of data for program planning and evaluation.
- Review and refine policies and procedures manuals for the Treatment area as appropriate;
- Support the Treatment program in monitoring and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Assist in evaluating budgetary requests, including travel, continuing education, and other operational expenses.
- Communicate WWC values, objectives, and program updates to Treatment staff and other stakeholders.
- On-call rotation for Treatment needs;
- Other work-related duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor.
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Diploma in a related filed (e.g., Mental health and wellness, Health promotion, or Public health)
- Minimum of 1-2 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a treatment or health care setting;
- Excellent time management and prioritizing skills;
- Strong organizational skills and able to multi-task;
- Possess conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication skills when interacting with professionals or participants;
- Ability to complete reports and communicate effectively through correspondence and procedure manuals;
- Ability to define problems, gather data, maintain confidentiality, organize facts, and make valid conclusions;
- High level of sound and independent judgement, reasoning, and discretion;
- Must have a Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and own a reliable vehicle;
- Must provide a satisfactory and recent Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and SGI Driver’s Abstract.
