The Lac La Ronge Indian Band in Little Red River Reserve is inviting applications for the following Permanent Full-Time position:
SECRETARY/JANITOR
The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
• Accept and record messages/receiving and answering/directing all incoming calls.
• Carry out general office duties (typing, photocopying, filing, etc.)
• Prepare agenda, minutes and reports when required;
• Booking/scheduling use of local boardrooms.
• Maintain and monitor itinerary board;
• Perform general janitorial duties;
• Provide daily cleaning and upkeep of the Band Hall and Band Office;
• Work independently with minimal supervision;
• Provide written and verbal reports with attention to factual details;
• Prepare Membership tax return during tax season – Training will be provided;
• Other duties of a similar nature as may be assigned from time to time.
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• Completion of Office Education or equivalent;
• Previous experience in an office setting;
• Experience working with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.);
• Previous janitorial experience is preferred.
• Ability to deal with the public in a respective, assertive manner;
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential;
• Punctual, honest & reliable.
• Must have valid Driver’s License and provide an SGI Driver’s Abstract.
• Must be able to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening;
