COHI Aides

We are looking for three self-motivated COHI Aides with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. The COHI Aides will work the Health Promotion Team to provide prevention oral health services to the LLRIB Health Services communities. About the Organization: LLRIBHS promotes Dental Health services and Dental Health education to all community members of LLRIB. We work closely with the schools and other health organizations. Together with others, we work to build capacity and educate as we both address acute needs and the determinants of health.

About the position:  Working within the Lac La Ronge Indian Band Schools you will provide fluoride treatments for 0–7-year-old children, instruction on oral hygiene, (brush & floss), book and confirm appointments, document client records, conduct home visits, transport clients to clinic if required, maintain dental supplies inventory by checking stock.  and other general office duties as required.

Qualifications: Suitable candidates must have a minimum Grade 12 (combination of education and relevant experience may be considered); Strong organizational skills & able to multi-task; Ability to work independently as well as a team member; Basic computer skills & experience with Microsoft Office; Excellent verbal, written communication & Public relations skills.  Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license & able to travel when required; Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset; Ability to speak/understand Cree is an asset.
