About the position: Operations & Maintenance Supervisor provides overall supervision and direction to the Maintenance, Janitorial and Clinic Support Workers and works under the direction of the Administration Manager. They ensure all applicable building codes and/or appropriate legislation are met and combines knowledge and skills to effectively oversee the operations and maintenance of all the facilities under the department of Health, including the fleet vehicles. This position works as a member of the administrative team.
Duties:
- Develop, implement and maintain the O&M Plan;
- Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling all the O&M of the facilities and vehicles;
- Annually develop and submit proposals for funding of capital projects;
- Administers and oversees contracts;
- Oversee infrastructure planning and implementation;
Qualifications: Suitable candidates will have Trade designation in an applicable trade; Three (3) years experience in the operation and maintenance of buildings and equipment; Minimum three (3) years supervisory experience required; Combination of Education and Experience may be considered; Experience working with First Nations Communities is an asset; Candidates must have a valid driver’s license
