Lac La Ronge Indian Band Public Works & Housing Department is now inviting applications for the following position:

LABOURER (Waste disposal) –Transfer Station – Permanent Full Time

The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:

• Solid Waste pick up for residents in the communities of Hall Lake and Sikachu.
• Collect and haul solid waste to waste transfer station.
• Perform basic labourer tasks, clean up waste transfer site, and maintain the attendant building.
• Maintain the attendant logbook and record the variety of garbage (residential/commercial/construction, etc)
• Maintain positive public relations on behalf of the department.
• Ensure maintenance and circle checks are completed on company trucks.
• This position will provide support to the attendant operating the Solid Waste Transfer Station.
• Follow daily schedule by management and/or crew leader and perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 10.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting.
• A valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• A combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Must be a team player, motivated and possess a strong work ethics.
• Must be willing to take direction from the supervisor.
• Must be willing to work independently on various job sites.

Salary:                                      In accordance with applicable salary grid under skill & experience
