About the position:  The HR Technician will support the HR Program by providing information to applicants and employees; maintaining records; completing assigned projects and tasks; and resolving a variety of employee issues. The Human Resource Technician plans, organizes, directs and controls the operations of human resources and personnel. This position assists the HR Coordinator with planning, recruitment, training and development, and benefits administration.

Duties:

  • Assists HR with planning, recruitment, training and development, and benefits administration;
  • Providing information to applicants, employees, and management by completing assigned projects and tasks, and resolving a variety of employee issues;
  • Conducting screening of applications; developing interview guides and rating scores;
  • Prepare and post employment advertisements, review candidate applications and contact applicants to arrange for interviews;
  • Maintains a variety of confidential and non-confidential files and records;
  • Enter and update employee files on BambooHR;
  • Day-to-day administration and coordination of policies as determined by the LLRIB Personnel Policy Manual;

Qualifications: Minimum 2-year diploma in HR Management with (3) years recruitment experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience may be considered; CHPR Designation is an asset; Excellent written, communication and computer skills; Ability to resolve conflicts tactfully, objectively with understanding, to respond to changing priorities and deadlines; Must be very professional and serve as a role model to with the utmost professionalism, discretion and confidentiality; Dynamic, outgoing individual who is a strong team player with an ability to perform independently; Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license.
