The Medical Transportation Program is located at the Little Red Clinic in the community of Little Red.
About the position: The Health Clinic Supervisor will ensure effective communication with the Program Manager, combining knowledge, communication and administrative skills to effectively plan, direct, supervise and evaluate the delivery of front-line services.
Duties:
- Provide day to day management of the Health Clinic;
- Work with the Program Managers to develop/oversee schedules & assigned tasks as appropriate in each program;
- Ensuring effective communications with Management Team, providing recommendations regarding staffing, equipment, vehicle or facility maintenance needs;
- Ensuring that recommendations addressed by the communities are being implemented where appropriate;
- Participate in the Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services Operational Planning;
- Performing employee conflict resolutions and/or required disciplinary measures in collaboration with Program Manager(s) and Human Resources in accordance with LLRIB Personnel Policy Manual.
- Evaluating budgetary requests including travel, continuing education, purchase orders, flex time and overtime requests in accordance with Finance policies and procedures;
Qualifications: Suitable candidates will have a minimum Diploma in Administration and/or Health related field or equivalent; Minimum 2 years supervisory experience; Combination of education and experience may be considered; Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset; Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team; Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office is an asset; Excellent verbal, written communication and public relations skills; Ability to travel; Must have a valid driver’s license.
