The Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s Social Development Department is now accepting applications for the following full-time term position (leave coverage ending August 2025) based out of La Ronge, SK:
CASE MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR
The Case Management Supervisor, under the direction of the Director of Social Development, will primarily be responsible for coordinating and participating in case management, consultation and departmental planning activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with intake workers to analyze the client’s case to determine the level and nature of services required.
- Coordinate with the services/agencies for the delivery of required services.
- Refer clients to agencies for access of required services.
- With the permission of clients, consult with relevant agencies to update, modify or reassess case planning and intervention strategies.
- Maintain and model appropriate personal boundaries with clients and refrain from involvement with clients’ personal affairs or other business that may constitute a conflict of interest.
- Maintain positive relationships with other service providers, including but not limited to social workers, medical staff, corrections officers and the RCMP.
- Oversee and assist with the planning and implementation of program enhancements.
- Assess/evaluate cases to determine eligibility for income support.
- Compile caseload statistics and prepare program and client reports.
- Document case management activities and submit detailed reports regularly.
- Schedule, conduct and attend regular staff meetings.
- Communicate effectively and use a professional approach with all team members, managers, supervisors, clients and stakeholders.
- Maintain knowledge of external regulatory bodies governing the organization.
- Determine areas of improvement for employees, providing additional training as needed.
- Ensure that all employees comply with company policies, procedures and ethical standards.
- Identify and pursue professional development opportunities.
- To perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Minimum two (2) year Diploma/Certificate in a related field (certifications appropriate to industry shall be given preference);
- Two (2) years of experience in a Case Management role;
- One (1) year of experience in a supervisory role;
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills;
- Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on mentoring and motivation of employees;
- Ability to delegate, set expectations and monitor the progress of all direct reports;
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution and people management skills;
- Ability to identify issues and implement creative and strategic solutions to overcome problems;
- Ability to remain calm and poised in urgent situations;
- Ability to speak Cree and knowledge of the Woodland Cree culture is an asset;
- Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
- Must be able to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening and Driver’s Abstract
