Building a Stronger Energy Future: LLRIB Community Energy Plan

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band (LLRIB) has taken an important step toward strengthening energy security, reducing costs, and building long-term sustainability through the development of its Community Energy Plan (CEP). This comprehensive plan supports all six LLRIB communities — Grandmother’s Bay, Hall Lake, Lac La Ronge, Little Red River, Stanley Mission, and Sucker River.
The Community Energy Plan is supported by three documents:
- Community Energy Analysis — technical foundation outlining how current energy use was calculated and what it means for future energy planning.
- Community Energy Education and Engagement Report — summarizes learning and engagement, including community sessions and capacity building for the planning team.
- Community Energy Planning Learning Materials — background information to support understanding and continued community learning.
