Update on Fire Situation – La Ronge Area
According to the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA), there is currently no threat of fire to La Ronge. The Pisew Fire remains approximately 26.2 kms west of the community.
At this time, there are no new fires in the La Ronge area. The active fires in the broader region include the Jaysmith Fire near Brabant Lake, the Pisew Fire near Hall Lake, and the Ditch Fire near Weyakwin.
A fresh air shelter has been set up at the JRMCC for Tri-Community members who may need it.
We will continue to provide updates as new information becomes available.
