Overview
The Lac La Ronge Indian Band Community Development Plan is a long-term initiative focused on shaping a stronger future for members, families, and communities across the Nation.
Through engagement with members on and off reserve, youth, Elders, leadership, and staff, the plan helps build a shared vision grounded in community priorities, culture, and long-term sustainability.
The plan supports informed decision-making, community growth, and measurable progress across key areas including governance, housing, health, education, infrastructure, culture, land and environment, social development, and economic opportunity.
Community participation is central to the process. Engagement sessions provide opportunities for members to share perspectives, identify priorities, and help guide the future direction of the Nation. The overall goal of the Community Development Plan is to strengthen quality of life while supporting future generations through collaborative planning and community-led development.

## About the Plan
The Lac La Ronge Indian Band started the process of creating a Community Development Plan by engaging members on and off reserve, youth, and Elders to form a vision for the future of the community.
Engagement covers goals, priorities, and actions for governance, land, resources and environment, health, education, infrastructure and public works, housing, culture, social priorities, and the economy.
The plan helps guide decisions, gather data to measure progress, and build capacity in members, staff, and leadership.
The overall goal is to improve quality of life for members through community participation and shared planning.
