The Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s Education Department is now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year, to fill the following Full-Time Term Position based out of Sally Ross School in Hall Lake, SK:
Cree Language Teacher
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education degree.
- A Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate or Provisional Professional “A” Teaching Certificate
- Must be fluent in Woodland Cree (required).
- Cree Language training is an asset
- Strong background in the culture and traditions of the Woodland Cree.
- Experience with “land based” education activities
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to teach students of varying abilities.
- Cross – Cultural experience is an asset.
- Must be able to provide verification of previous teaching experience (if applicable);
- Must be able to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract and Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector check.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
