Staff & Family Well-being,

Lac La Ronge Indian Band is very proud of the dedication and support provided by the teachers, staff, and other staff members for our students during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. The caring and compassion you have demonstrated has been so supportive for students and families. We would like to take this time to thank you for all your hard work and to remind you to take of yourselves and one another. We care about you, therefore, please
consider the following ideas to support you and your family in the future.

• Practise self-compassion.

Even those who don’t typically struggle with anxiety may experience increased anxiety during uncertain times, so don’t be hard on yourself if you are feeling more worried or anxious than
usual.

• Practise self-care.

It remains important to engage in health and relaxing activities that you enjoy. Consider a wide variety of fun, intellectually stimulating and physically active options such as reading, for leisure
and professional growth, cooking, exercise, meditation , and especially spending time in nature.

• Stay connected.

Stay connected with family and friends.

• Establish and maintain routines.

Keeping similar routines and developing healthy new routines and setting daily goals helps provide predictability and a sense of safety for you and your family.

Our goal in the next few weeks, is to check in with all staff and students .
